• Account information: name, email address, and password when you register
• Profile information: photos, bio, neighborhood, availability, and service details (Sitters); cat names, breeds, and care notes (Owners)
• Booking information: dates, services requested, and messages exchanged between users
• Reviews: written reviews and ratings you submit

We also collect information automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and timestamps
• Device data: browser type, operating system, and IP address
• Cookies: session cookies to keep you logged in; we do not use third-party advertising cookies

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the platform and facilitate bookings between Owners and Sitters
• To authenticate your account and keep it secure
• To send booking confirmations, messages, and service-related notifications
• To display your public profile to other users (Sitters only, as configured by you)
• To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymized usage analysis
• To respond to your support requests
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

4. Information Shared With Others

When you make or accept a booking, certain profile information is shared between the Owner and Sitter to facilitate the service (e.g., name, contact details, cat care notes).

We share data with third-party service providers that help us operate the platform:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting
• Vercel — application hosting

These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes. We do not share your data with any other third parties except as required by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@mraav.com.

7. Your Rights (California Residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
• Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Delete your personal information (subject to certain exceptions)
